Duckworth Backs Valencia For Illinois Secretary Of State

U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth is backing Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia in her bid for Illinois Secretary of State.  Duckworth says she can’t think of a better person to serve the people of Illinois.  Valencia said she was honored to get Duckworth’s support.  Her endorsement comes a little less than a year before the June primary in 2022.  The city clerk officially launched her campaign last month to replace Jesse White, who is retiring after serving more than two decades as secretary of state.
