A man is pleading guilty in connection with a drunk driving collision that killed four people. Court records show that 25-year-old Demetric Dixon pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated drunk driving. The collision happened early on the morning of June 1st, 2020. Decatur Police say Dixon ran a red light and struck a semi with a fully loaded trailer. Five passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment, where 19-year-old Brittany King, 20-year-old Keithsha Bowman, 23-year-old Shonez Harper, and 23-year-old Armani Cooper were pronounced dead. Police say Dixon allegedly ran from the scene and went to a hospital to seek treatment for injuries sustained in the crash. He is set to be sentenced July 8th.
