Pritzker Signs Massive Healthcare Reform Plan

A new healthcare law is on the books in Illinois.  Governor Pritzker signed a massive healthcare reform plan yesterday.  The proposal was the fourth and final initiative of the Legislative Black Caucus to become law in recent months.  The package provides training, expanded healthcare service access, and programs to address maternal and infant mortality, including funding to safety net hospitals with prenatal care.  Measures to address racial inequalities in the healthcare system are also included.
