Secretary Of State Jesse White Kicks Off New Organ Donation Campaign

The Illinois Secretary of State’s office is launching a new organ and tissue donation campaign featuring a former White Sox All-Star.  The ad tells the story of former announcer Ed Farmer, who received a kidney transplant from his brother.  Secretary White says his own family knows the importance of organ donation.  More than seven million Illinoisans have signed up to become organ and tissue donors, but about four thousand people remain on the waiting lists for a transplant.  You can pledge to give the gift of life at life-goes-on-dot-com.
