The University of Illinois System is extending a policy making standardized admissions testing optional. The System’s Board of Trustees approved a request this week to allow high school students to apply for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years without taking standardized tests. The policy is already in place for the 2021-22 academic year. The policy applies to those applying for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Illinois Springfield, and University of Illinois at Chicago.
