State Police Working To Reduce FOID, Concealed Carry Card Backlog

Illinois State Police is asking for a few tweaks in the state law to help reduce the backlog of FOID and concealed carry cards to be processed.  State Police Director Brendan Kelly says he has hired more staff and is looking at combining FOID and concealed carry into one single card.  Kelly added that renewals should be in sync so that when you renew a concealed carry license, your FOID is automatically renewed as well.
