Over Eleven Million Granted For Housing, Homeless Assistance In Central Illinois

Over eleven-million dollars is being granted for housing and homeless assistance in central Illinois.  U.S. Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth announced the funding yesterday from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Durbin says the programs are “critically important to addressing homelessness and housing insecurity.”  Community Development Block Grants provide annual grants to states and local governments to develop viable urban communities.
