Some members of Illinois’ congressional delegation are urging Congress to pass emergency funding to cover natural gas bills that spike exponentially for some central Illinois communities during frigid weather a few weeks ago. The Illinois Finance Authority authorized low-interest loans last week. Congressmen Rodney Davis and Darin LaHood are now asking congressional leaders for emergency appropriations to cover the costs.
