Taylorville Republican U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis says a nearly 800-page election overhaul proposal pushed by Democrats in Washington may have positive elements, but it’s also full of poison pills. Davis said a provision about independent mapping commissions for redrawing legislative districts might be welcomed, but requiring non-profit organizations to reveal their donors and efforts to centralize election protocols make it a bad bill.
