The Department of Children and Family Services is offering scholarships to current and former youth in care. Spokesperson Kim Beck says those who are eligible have to be between the ages of 16 and 20 and have open cases or who have been adopted out of the system. She added that it’s important to give the youth the tools they need to succeed. Students can apply online at dcfs.illinois.gov through March 31st.
