Illinois Tax Filing Season Begins February 12

Illinoisans can start filing both their state and federal taxes on February 12.  State Department of Revenue spokesperson Terry Horstmann encourages everyone to file electronically.  Those filing an IL-1040 can do so for free on the my-tax-dot-Illinois-dot-gov website.  There, you can also check on the status of your refund.  The tax filing deadline is April 15.
