State Officials Observe Human Trafficking Awareness Month

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month.  The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is asking the public to learn the warning signs of trafficking.  DCFS Director Marc Smith says that child trafficking happens all over the state and the average age of a victim is 14.  If you suspect a child is being trafficked call 911 or the child abuse hotline 1-800-25-ABUSE.
