Illinois Launching Computer Equity Network to Close Digital Divide

Illinois is launching a statewide network aimed at closing the digital divide.  Connect Illinois Computer Equity is a partnership between nonprofit PCs for People, Cook County, and community partners.  The effort aims to put computers and other mobile devices into the hands of Illinois low-income residents and to provide help with accessing high speed internet.  Governor Pritzker is calling for donations of used equipment for the network.
