Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia is kicking the tires on a possible run for secretary of state. She announced Tuesday she is forming an exploratory committee to look at a possible bid to succeed retiring incumbent Jesse White. Former state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias and County Clerk Karen Yarbrough are also considering getting into the race.
