Macon County Officials Warn Of Phone Scam

Macon County officials are warning about a phone scam happening in the area.  The Sheriff’s Office says an unknown person is reportedly calling residents claiming to raise money for the Macon County Sheriff’s Fraternal Order of Police Number 144.  The caller tells those answering that the money will go towards Shop with the Sheriff.  The Sheriff’s Office says the calls are a scam, and that the person is not associated with the office.
