With Veterans Day approaching, Old King’s Orchard Community Center 815 North Church St, Decatur on Monday, November 9th is the location for Veterans to stop by and get a care package provided by the Decatur Township. Hours for pick up are 11-2pm. It is a circle drive thru for pick up.
Decatur Township Supervisor, Lisa Stanley said, “We know it is a challenging time for everyone, but we still wanted to let our Veterans know we recognize and appreciate their sacrifices.” The drawstring bag contains a variety of items including: a gift card from Jalyrih Grill or Dollar Tree Gift Card or TKG Wing Heaven, a patriotic mask, a certificate of thanks, and more personal items. Contents were donated by local businesses, organizations (United Way and Help 4 Heroes) and the Township.
