Health officials are reporting over 62-hundred new COVID-19 cases in Illinois. Officials announced the cases yesterday, along with 20 additional deaths. More than 33-hundred people are reported hospitalized with the virus, with over 700 patients in the ICU and almost 300 of those on ventilators. The state’s preliminary seven-day positivity rate for the period ending Sunday is eight-point-one. More than 423-thousand people in the state have tested positive for the virus and over 98-hundred have died since the pandemic began.
