Memorial Placed at Lake Springfield For Cinda, Frank Edwards

A new memorial is now in place at Lake Springfield in honor of Frank and Cinda Edwards.  A new bench that overlooks the lake is located at Lindsay Boat Launch.  A memorial plaque has been placed on the bench remembering the Edwards’ service to the community.  Frank, Cinda, John Evans, and the Edwards’ dog Lily were killed in a plane crash in January.  Cinda was the Sangamon County Coroner at the time of her death, as well as a member of the Lincoln Land Community College Board of Trustees.  Frank was serving as Springfield’s Fire Chief, Ward One alderman, as well as interim mayor for four months.
