It’s been a dry Fall so far in Illinois. Precipitation has been about 1 to 4 inches below normal across the state over the past few months. Large portions of Central and Southern Illinois are 4 to 6 inches behind on rain. That’s raising some concerns about soil moisture for Spring planting and increasing the chances for fires. The good news is the 6-10 Day, and Winter Outlooks are calling for Above Average precipitation.
