The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is urging the public to participate in the world’s largest earthquake drill this week. The Annual Shakeout event will be held Thursday, October 15th at 10:15am. IEMA spokesperson Rebecca Clark encourages everyone to sign up to participate and learn how to drop, cover and hold on in the event of an earthquake. Clark wants to remind Illinoisans that earthquakes don’t only occur in California. You can sign up to take part in the Great Shakeout online at shakeout.org Families will find toolkits available for kids who are remote learning as well as other resources.
