County clerks in Illinois are asking for help as Election Day closes-in and the coronavirus is still a problem. The clerk in southern Illinois’ Green County says her office is quarantined for two weeks, which means they cannot process ballots for the November election. Clerk Debbie Banghart says it is a nightmare scenario that her office may be closed again on or around Election Day. Without the clerk’s office, no one in most counties in Illinois can vote or have their votes counted.
