LaHood, Davis Announce Transit Grants

Two Central Illinois communities are getting federal funds to revitalize transit operations.  U.S. Representatives Darin LaHood and Rodney Davis announced through a press release that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded 18-million in grants for transit projects.  The release outlined that ten million will go to Greater Peoria Mass Transit, and eight-million will be awarded to Connect Transit for a new downtown Bloomington Transfer Center.
