Governor J.B. Pritzker is applauding local officials for taking steps to further protect communities from COVID-19. The Mayor of Chicago Monday announced new restrictions on indoor service at bars, restaurants and gyms to help combat a recent increase in cases. The Governor says it’s a good call.
Meanwhile, last week, the Mayor of Springfield signed an Executive Order to crack down on bars and restaurants that don’t abide by public health guidelines. Those found in violation will first get a verbal warning, then if changes aren’t made, fines will be assessed and there is the possibility of the business losing it’s liquor license.
