IDES Glitch Frustrating Unemployment Seekers

The Illinois Department of Employment Security is dealing with a glitch that is frustrating unemployment seekers.  The persistent problem erroneously tells those filing claims online under Pandemic Unemployment Assistance to try for regular unemployment instead.  Officials with IDES released a statement yesterday, saying a feature has been launched that will streamline the call process while the department works toward improving the claim filing and processing system.
