Illinois To Fly Flags Lowered For Juneteenth Day

Flags across the state of Illinois will be lower today. Governor JB Pritzker yesterday ordered that flags fly at half-staff in honor of Juneteenth Day. Today is the day that is celebrated for the ending of slavery in the United States. You may not notice however, Governor Pritzker had earlier ordered flags lowered to remember those lost to the coronavirus.
