Hundreds more Illinois National Guard troops are heading to cities across the state.
Governor JB Pritzker yesterday called up 250 more citizen soldiers to help try and stop the rioting in Chicago and other cities. That brings the total of Illinois soldiers being deployed to 625. The governor also called up 300 more Illinois State troopers to be deployed on riot duty. The governor says the troops and troopers will help local law enforcement keep their communities safe.
