Sources expect Governor Pritzker to add an extension to his stay-at-home order today. The governor will hold his daily COVID-19 press conference at 2:30 p.m.
While it is unclear how long the extension will be, sources say that it could be extended through May. By law, the governor is allowed to sign an executive order for 30 days. There is a chance some restrictions could be lifted, with lawmakers and businesses requesting that the governor reopen state parks and golf courses as well as to allow elective surgeries.
