Governor J.B. Pritzker and Secretary Deborah Hagan of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation say the state is expanding relief options for those with privately held student loans.
Pritzker announced yesterday that the IDFPR has worked with 20 student loan services to assist borrowers impacted by economic conditions caused by COVID-19. The federal CARES Act is already providing relief for students with federal loans.
