Pritzker expected to close schools for remainder of school year

The announcement is expected to be made at the Governor’s press conference today at 2:30, sources say.

27 other states have ordered or recommended the closing of schools for the remainder of the school year.  Yesterday Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot hinted towards the decision, but Pritzker would make the final call.
