The Illinois State Police are recognizing telecommunications professionals, operators, and behind-the-scenes positions during National Public Safety Telecommunicators’ Week.
ISP says they will formally acknowledge those who dispatch troopers and officers. The week started yesterday with recognition activities happening at the six call centers across the state. Dispatchers, operators, and telecommunicators answered nearly 528,000 calls last year.
