A female patient in her 50’s is currently at HSHS St. Mary’s and is isolated in the Intensive Care Unit. For more information on that story, click here.
The second patient, a man in his 60’s, was tested via the Decatur Memorial Hospital Respiratory Clinic and is currently at home and self-isolating. The man had been practicing self-isolation ever since he developed symptoms. Public officials have begun the process of identifying people who were in direct contact with both patients and will actively monitor those found to be in contact with the patients in an attempt to reduce the spread of the virus to the community.
