Edit: The City of Springfield is postponing the parade.
While Chicago announced they have canceled their St. Paddy’s Day parade, but organizers of the Springfield St. Patrick’s Day parade say they still plan on holding their 36th annual parade. The parade starts at Jefferson and Sixth Streets, headlined by the traditional firing of the cannon.
More than 100 parade entries are expected to join the march this year.
