The man who was arrested for discharging a firearm in the Masonic Temple parking lot has taken a plea deal.
Matthew Rice was sentenced yesterday to four years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of unlawful use of a weapon. As part of the plea, the dismissed charges included reckless discharge of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Rice fired a handgun into a crowd during a fight back in November. The weapon he used was found to be reported as stolen.
