On Wednesday, a Springfield man and woman were chased by another vehicle while driving and then shot at.
Officers were called to South Park Street after reports of shots fired, where they found two .45 caliber shell casings. One of the victims informed officers they thought the incident may have been gang related.
The car being driven by the victims had damage to the back windshield, but no injuries were reported.
The male said he recognized the suspects, but refused to give names. No arrests have been made.
