A new bill was introduced in the Illinois House that would make students get vaccinated for HPV in order to enter sixth grade. The confirmation of vaccination would also be necessary to enter freshman year of high school.
If passed, House Bill 4870 would become active on January 1st of next year. However, the vaccinations would be required before the 2022 school year.
