The Illinois State Police are being sued for violating two men’s second amendment rights. A federal lawsuit alleges the ISP did not act quickly enough on two men’s applications for FOID cards and concealed carry licenses.
The two plaintiffs are claiming that they’ve been trying to regain their FOID card and concealed carry licenses for three years. Ryan Thomas lost his FOID and CCL when he moved to Texas in 2016. Goran Lazic says a 2017 charge for domestic battery was dropped and expunged. Both have been attempting to regain their rights since 2017.
