Sheriff Tony Brown and Jim root released a joint statement yesterday that there will be a full recount of votes for their 2018 Macon County Sheriff race. While an exact date has not been set, the recount will be done by county clerk Josh Turner and is expected to happen in a matter of weeks.
Tanner is currently awaiting an order from the judge so he can start the recount.
