Students in high school who are eligible to vote will now be able to vote during school hours. Governor Pritzker legislation on Wednesday that will go into effect on June 1st. The law will apply to primary, general and special elections. Also under the umbrella of the legislation would be any election in the state where propositions are submitted to a popular vote.
Schools will specify the hours in which students will be excused.
