A juvenile driver fled a traffic stop which led to a high speed chase which resulted in a crash.
On Friday evening, the driver and 19-year-old passenger were pulled over on I-70 before the driver took off. The car lost control while going over a bridge and struck a guard rail and was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle.
The occupant of the other vehicle was treated and released from a nearby hospital.
The driver and passenger’s injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening.
