A woman from Decatur has been arrested for domestic battery after an argument with her boyfriend turned into physical assault. Early Wednesday morning police were dispatched to a home on South Webster Street because of a couple arguing over missing car keys, which were shared by the two. Officers attempted to leave the scene twice, informing the couple this was not a police matter. Each time officers tried to leave, the woman called 911 alleging a verbal altercation.
Police offered to take the two away from the scene to calm down but both refused. Officers then noticed the woman shove the man and then punch his shoulder. She was taken into custody after striking the man.
