A Decatur man found in possession of 70 narcotics pills and over $9,000 in cash denied to police that he was selling drugs.
The encounter happened when officers were called to the site of a crash on Tuesday night. Officers noticed paraphernalia in the man’s pocket and also witnessed the man attempting to hide a pill bottle.
When the officer found the money, they asked what the suspect’s profession was. The man stated that he did not sell drugs and alleged that the bottle did not belong to him. He has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
