The 17-year-old who crashed his car into a house and struck a gas line, which started a fire and killed the resident inside, had just received his license just a day before the crash.
The crash happened back on November 23rd and responding officers noted that Micaiah Barton fled the scene of the crash. Barton said his reason for leaving the scene was to call 911.
Barton, who is being charged as an adult, entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday.
