An Illinois State Police squad car was hit while parked on the shoulder of I-72 near Barry, Illinois on Sunday night.
The trooper had parked their vehicle and was attempting to help a driver who had slid off the road due to snow. A woman attempted to pass a semi truck when she lost control and hit the rear quarter panel of the squad car, which was unoccupied.
No injuries were reported.
