Decatur Police will be ramping up efforts to stop impaired driving through January 2nd. This is part of a national campaign against driving under the influence. In 2018, 285 deaths related to drunk driving took place on Christmas and New Year’s alone.
To ensure safety during the holiday season:
-Bring a designated driver to a party or use a taxi/ride-sharing service.
-Buckle up.
– Do not allow others to drive if they are impaired.
