A Decatur woman, who has been accused of gravely injuring her three month old baby, has had her bond lowered significantly so that she can be examined by a psychiatrist. Laurel Szekely has plead not guilty to three counts of aggravated battery to a child that caused permanent disability.
According to police reports, her son was left with two fractures in his left leg as well as having bleeding inside of his skull.
Her bond was lowered from $100,000 to $10,000. $4,000 of that will be used for her psychiatric evaluation.
