A man in Decatur was arrested for heroin possession after being pulled over for speeding. Upon being pulled over, the man exited his car and moved toward the officer.
The man was ordered back into his car and a K-9 unit was brought to the scene. After the K-9 alerted on the vehicle, the man then handed the officer a pill bottle that was holding a green, leafy substance.
The man was then searched by officers, who found an additional two medicine bottles inside of the sleeve of the man’s shirt.
When the substance was tested, it returned a positive test for heroin. The 52-year-old was charged with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of manufacturing/delivery of heroin.
