A Decatur resident was killed after a 17-year-old crashed his car into her home on Friday night. The crash happened Friday night on East Locust Street. According to police, the car hit a gas line when it crashed into the home which led to a large fire.
When the fire was contained, 87-year-old resident Mary Hinton was found dead inside the home.
The driver was taken to the hospital and was later arrested for driving under the influence.
