A 15-year-old was dropped off at Decatur Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg has police investigating. The young man arrived at DMH shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday. The wound is not believed to be life-threatening.
The victim provided police with a statement. Officers had received phone calls earlier Sunday from residents who had heard gunshots around the areas of West William St. and North Haworth Avenue, although it is unclear if they correlate with the victim.
