A Decatur woman who was being arrested for smoking meth then began kicking an officer while being removed from her vehicle.
Alyssa Hood was reported to police on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Police noted she was speaking very quickly and then admitted to being a meth user.
Officers then asked her to step out of her vehicle, to which she refused. While trying to arrest her, she began resisting and eventually started kicking an officer in the abdomen. A search of her car yielded three meth pipes.
She has been charged with aggravated battery, resisting/obstructing an officer, driving under the influence, driving without insurance, operating a vehicle with expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia.
