Today, the city council will vote to decide if part of the Fairview shopping center will be purchased to be transitioned into a new fire station. The area that would be used would be what used to be the Kroger gas station located at 855 N. Fairview Avenue.
The proposal would purchase the property for $1 from the owner.
If passed, this would replace the station located on West Eldorado, near Fairview.
